HealthBIO 2016 In Turku
The 10th annual HealthBIO event was organized over two days this week in Turku. Some 220 national and international delegates exchanged news from the field of Life Sciences and partnered for new business opportunities.
The organizers where particularly pleased with the attendance of major international corporations that paid attention to the growing significance of the region and the role of Turku Science Park. The Science Park announced the start of a the first Life Science Accelerator, lead by Tom Palenius, in Finland.
It will function to support the commercialization of academic scientific projects and growth / internationalization of Start-up companies. Among many other interesting presentations Faron described their IPO process for the AIM in London as an indication of how hard work and skillful mingling will bring results to safeguard continued development of the lead compounds and the company.
Exsilio was able to tie up with several contacts in the field exchanging ideas of supporting SME’s with new growth strategies and business models for companies that want to develop, grow and internationalize. TEKES reminded of their new financing tool for new companies and prompted service providers to list up which Exsilio did.
